Finding Funding

The Office of Research Administration at MUST provides services to its stakeholders by securing and identifying funding sources, proposal development support, formulating and reviewing budgets, negotiating agreements, obtaining and interpreting funding guidelines, promoting compliance of grant applications and contracts with sponsor and university policies and regulations and ensuring financial accountability for external funding for research and projects.

At ORA, we search for support for research, training, and other academic purposes in many places. Numerous corporate agencies and organizations contribute significantly to our research and academic mission. The majority of the funding is for research; however support is also received for fellowships, training, conferences, equipment, and various other educational purposes. The sites listed below are useful for linking research ideas to appropriate sources of funding:

  1. National Institutes of Health (NIH) | Turning Discovery Into Health
  2. Grand Challenges: Home
  3. Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
